John van der Velden

Linde Engineering Division

John van der Velden holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Rotterdam and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

In 1996 he started his professional career at Unilever in the field of research and development and went on to work for Elsag Bailey Hartmann & Braun in various engineering positions.

John van der Velden also worked for many years at ABB B.V. in diverse sales and business unit management positions.

Since 2007 he has held various business development roles at Chicago Bridge & Iron Company, most recently as Vice President Business Development.

John van der Velden has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Linde Engineering Division since June 2015, with a particular focus on sales and technology. 

He is responsible for all product lines, regional sales, research and development as well as Cryostar SAS, Linde Kryotechnik AG and Selas-Linde GmbH.
